The objective of the BioClip Project is to encourage the creation, exchange and distribution of multimedia documents about life sciences and more specifically the cell. The tools to reach that objective are the following :

An online sharing platform, www.bioclips.com
An annual international BioClips festival « Cinema of the Cell » which takes place since 2002 during international meetings like ELSO.
Creation and production of Research BioClips and Educational BioClips

The project is funded by the
Ministère délégué à la Recherche et aux Nouvelles Technologies
& CNRS Images

A concise, web-friendly document, summarizing your work, suitable for online presentation and at meetings.

The BioClip is a free standing multimedia document. It mixes texts and/or commentaries, music, sounds, videos and animations with fluidity such that a non specialist can understand the background, the context, meaning and perspectives of your discovery and story. Ideally the BioClip should be interactive and entertaining.
BioClips can be made using automated Power Point or similar presentation software. For internet use and increased interactivity, other software programs should be used such as Macromedia Flash. Quicktime Videos or AVI (DIVX format) can easily be published on the web.

For research scientists, teachers and students through Research Bioclips (RESEARCH, REVIEW, TECHNIQUE and VISUAL)

For the general public and everyone wanting to learn more about the cell with Educational BioClips
